Styrofoam In Landfills What Are The Ingredients In A Styrofoam Cup?

What are the ingredients in a styrofoam cup? - styrofoam in landfills

I am in the science fair at my school and my topic is styrofoam vs. paper cups, the "green". I would like to use the ingredients or materials for a bowl of plastic manufacturing know (and / or if you know anything with paper cups, which can be useful). If you have any information, websites and books that I should consider or if you know what will be valued most. Thank you for your support.

Styrofoam, a trade name is technically known as expanded polystyrene or EPS, is a material made from benzene, a known carcinogen. The chemicals for the manufacture of foam, which was a time of CFC but a negative effect on the ozone layer, produce HCFC use, although 95% is less harmful than its predecessor, but it destroys the ozone layer. The consequences would be destroyed more UV rays penetrate the Earth's atmosphere micro-organisms which many serious decline in crop yields and marine life.
So if you book more green, but the use of glasses, which should be washed longer be destroyed as used in paper production, including a lot of trees. The treatment of many polluting chemicals, water and power consumption also contributes to the carbon dioxide emissions polllute environment.
